spun this gorgeous ooak art yarn from a batt created by the amazing fiber artist Loop (who has a shop on Etsy of the same name).

This handspun beautifully rich opulent yarn contains:

Alpaca, merino, corriedale, bfl, kid mohair, tussah silk, bamboo, bamboo nepps, mohair locks, firestar and angelina.

It is a corespun yarn. Corespinning is a more intensive spinning technique that wraps the fiber around a core (in this case a black laceweight wool yarn), between a 60 and 90 degree angle. It creates a thick and thin single, that looks quite different than a traditional single. It produces a very warm, light and fluffy yarn.
